Hitachi has developed a new data storage solution it has unveiled today, that uses a new quartz glass plate technology to store data indefinitely.
The new data storage solution is capable of storing the data on on slivers of quartz glass that can endure extreme temperatures and hostile conditions, without ever degrading the data stored within.Researches are now developing new solutions with more layers which they say shouldn’t prove a problem. Hitachi researcher Kazuyoshi Torii said.
