Storage software developer Paragon Software Group (PSG) today announced its collaboration with AppliedMicro®, global leader in energy conscious computing and communications solutions for data center, telecom, enterprise and consumer applications, for the development of the best-of-class solution for the AppliedMicro PACKET pro family of single and multi-core processors for network attached storage (NAS) applications. Paragon's NTFS, exFAT and HFS+ for Linux drivers will target the new APM86xxx system-on-a-chip (SoC) processor family. The bundled solution speeds up communication between AppliedMicro-based network appliances and attached storage.
